Ian and I got a hankering for something sweet and delicious, cupcakes actually, but we realized that we didn't have frosting. So we found a box of brownies, and decided that would work.
We mixed the oil and water, but then realized that we only had one egg, but we needed two. It was already 9:30, so we didn't feel right about going to the neighbor...but we had already started mixing everything up! I remembered that my Father in Law told me "if you don't have eggs, you can use applesauce"- brilliant! Applesauce! Oh rats, we don't have any applesauce...
...but wait- we bought Mara some baby food a few days ago, and among the flavors was applesauce.
Here goes nothing!

Projects
Mara is now at the age of "Don't leave me, Mom!!" and this can be slightly frustrating. Don't get me wrong, I love being wanted, but it can definitely slow a person down. I don't want her to develop any bad habits, either, so I don't give in most of the time. When things need to be done, I can't always carry her around....so, I try to let her help me with things instead.

She helped me cut denim into squares for the jean quilt I'm making....

She helped me hang the laundry....

And She even helped Daddy get some socks....

What a great helper!!!

funny story
A funny thing happened today, I was getting a letter ready to send that was full of cash, no message needed. Christen told me that I should put a "cute little note in it." After I finished the note, I asked Christen for a "cute little stamp." It was at this point that Christen got really excited and said yes. Moments later she brings me all of her stamps (the ink kind, thanks to Patience) and I laughed. After she brought me a stamp (the postage kind) I continued to laugh. Why would I want to stamp a note? I still don't understand, but I'm still laughing.
